Trig Station above Evans Pass

Another hot day, reaching 31°C.
I walked up to this trig station above Evans Pass, down and around the Crater Rim Walkway to Livingstone Col and Breeze Col, and back to Evans Pass. About 10kms, and on a cooler day it’d be pleasant, but I cooked! The views were amazing.

Lyttelton Harbour is beyond this trig, and Godley Head stretching out to Pegasus Bay and the Pacific Ocean, in the pic in Extras.

There are a couple of walkers in the 2nd image, central, but very tiny. She looked wonderful with her floaty white gear and large white hat. She could have been going to the races.
That view is looking down to Breeze Col. Such a beautiful day!

It’s intriguing to know I was walking along the rim of a crater.
