A splash of colour

While the Northern Quarter is teeming with colourful street art, Spinningfields tends towards the monochrome with metal and glass. I remember one of my flatmates in Germany, with typical directness and not an ounce of malice, telling me I must be common because I crave bright colours. Well, I embrace my inner peasant and look for vibrant tones as I pootle about. This isn't so much street art as an attempt to add some spice to a slightly sniffy area. Threw in a couple of speculative job applications today - must be the February blues kicking in. Also booked to see a random German musical in April as an antidote to the grey month. Here's hoping for a rainbow today.
