Rivington

A message from Margaret at 9.15am had me jumping out of bed, showering and having breakfast to be ready at 10. She drove us to Rivington via Next at Reebok.
We had a lovely walk, it was cold and still icy in parts. We walked to The replica of Liverpool Castle. We walked past about 6 school age pupils and wondered why they were there. It turned out they were from the referral unit in Salford and all had been excluded from schools. Every Tuesday they go somewhere and their curriculum revolves around where they went. they were well behaved and we chatted to the teachers. It's really awful that all pupils are expected to be and do the same. Some pupils need more practical or activity based learning shame it doesn't happen, more so now they have to stay in education to 18.
We had a lovely lunch in a very nice cafe where tap water was served with ice, lemon and blueberries!!!!
I loved this tree it looks like there is a bird carved in it. Put the colour one in the extras, the moss on the trees was looking lovely.
