It is Waitangi Day today in New Zealand. It is a public holiday to commemorate the signing of a peace treaty between the indigenous Maori and the colonials. As it falls in the peak of our summer it is a tradition to spend it outdoors....at the beach, at an outdoor concert, or rambling over the hills......
