Wide Wednesday . . . Tradition

Richmond was one of the first communities to develop after Nelson because of the quality of it's farmland.  On the 9 October 1871 the foundation stone was laid.  On July 1872 the church was consecrated for public worship.  It is a traditional colonial board and batten timber clad building.  It is a prominent land mark with in the town.  It has been the focus of Anglican worship in the area since it's construction.
