Another Day at Home

...returning to home office work.
The small grey plate partly covered by the screen edge contains a poem I gathered at a friends’ rebuilt 18th century  farmhouse: ~

„Dies Haus ist mein und doch nicht mein,

Vor mir nannt’s ein andrer sein,

Nach mir zieht der nächste ein,

Dessen Haus wird‘s auch nicht sein.“

(This house is mine, and it is not,
Another man called it his spot,
The next one moves in after me,
And his house it will neither be.)
