Savings Bank

Well its not the Savings Bank any more.  Its now an upmarket clothes store called Jigsaw.  I think I was in it once, maybe twice,  but didn't buy anything!

Here we have St Mungo the Patron Saint of Glasgow above the Glasgow Coat of arms.   Just visible are two figures behind him in low relief - both female.  One is spinning, and one is picking fruit.   They must be somewhere warm as they aren't wearing many clothes - cetainly they wouldn't survive the Glasgow winter!

On each side is a naked  Atlas (Atlantes)  doing what he does best - weight bearing.   The general architecture is an interpretation of the Roman Baroque style.
