Le ciel est grand

For a long time I had a postcard on my noticeboard at work that said "le ciel est grand". The sky today, and particularly this photo - taken by Tiziano I hasten to add - reminded me of that card and its message. The sky is huge, ever-moving and ever-changing, just like life itself.
This was during our walk on the beach this morning, after which we dropped in on Angie, then Angelo joined us, and then Jan, and we sat and chatted for quite a while. How different it is to not be in a rush, to not have to be somewhere at a certain time, to be able to change plans on a whim, to have the luxury of acting on a whim. 
Angelo invited us for lunch, and then in the afternoon we went to the Y (34 lengths) and did some food shopping. Next, our music session. Tiziano maintains that my singing and ukulele playing are getting better by the day. Wow! And so enjoyable.
It's raining heavily outside now and there are flood warnings for some parts of Oahu. May be interesting!!
