Decorating

John is, I’ve been assigned to cleaning the paraphernalia around us. It’s wild and wet out there although all feels comfortable in here, possibly John isn’t that keen but he’s just about finished. It’s the same colour as before, a refresh and talked about for two years, I think the feel good factor will come after a glass of red later. The cats enjoyed the upheaval, they were ducking and diving earlier but now out for the count.

We bought the ceiling lights and matching lamps over thirteen years ago (when the room was last decorated) although rarely used preferring the lamps around the room. I'm shocked it’s thirteen years, John worked it out, he remembers the age of the Fire Belly wood burning stove which was part of a refurb in 2006. We bought the place twenty years ago and slowly made it habitable, this room was the last big job.

And if you’ve made this far a few definitions of the word paraphernalia taken from the internet:

Separate real or personal property of a married woman that she can dispose of by will and sometimes according to common law during her life

The operation which involves the removal of one's scrotal sack. A practice which has all but died out in these enlightened times.

all the objects needed for or connected with a particular activity.

That’s clear then.
