Snow Pyramids

First it snows, then the snow settles and sinks. However, where the snow is scaffolded by something (like a wild raspberry cane), it holds the snow up and leaves a cone around the object. In this case each raspberry cane adds a little pyramid to the overall pattern.
It was sunny, but cold. At home it was minus 7°C, and when we were going out for a ski we dressed accordingly. However, like we learned in school, cold air sinks, so a little lower in the valley, only 400 m away, it was -14° C.  It took nearly the whole trip to  really warm up. Taking off the mittens to get photographs keeps the fingers nicely chilled, even when you leave inner gloves on!
I liked the long shadows in the extra showing Jan, and just the skitrack pattern in the other extra.
I've been busy, we have had talkative visitors, and we've been out the last two evening so Blipfoto has taken a slight backseat. Tonight I post two backblips (this is no 1) and today's blip.  Tomorrow I'll try to catch up with your blips!
