Beginner!

Among other hobbies, my late father enjoyed water painting and I inherited some of his paints and equipment, but none of the knowledge in how to use them. So today I took advantage of a beginner’s workshop at RHS Wisley under the excellent tutorship of Billy Showell (https://www.billyshowell.com/)

Billy specialises in botanical studies and we were presented with hellebores to paint. Our first exercise was to practise painting a single petal. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was quite pleased with my results ... but need practice!
