The Grampian venture read

24-08-2015 another bit of our past that no one should ever forget this was well after my time mind you .
24-08-2015 up to date news for you all not all as it seem She was there as Sandhaven which is now Grampian Venture Sean Ennis is the ship was owned by Harrisons and was charted by North Star with 3 other vessels Johnshaven, Portnahaven, Burnhaven the 4 vessels was purchased by North Star in 1989, Silver Pit was Pipers safety boat but Sandhaven was close by at another rig but assisted Silver Pit with the rescue and lost 2 members during the rescue in an explosion one Crew member did survive Ian Latham I remember it beause as the Sandhaven sailed into Aberdeen she was sent right back out Again with the same crew to the Piper field.
The Grampian Venture and her sister vessels were really good ships they were slow but they were the best sea ships in the fleet and still are Sadly though Sean Ennis passed away earlier this year with a Heart attack he was a lovely guy at the Time of Piper he was just Young guy I think he was about 27, 28 at the time it was a horrible night for the standby  I toot all last pictures of the Sandhaven her last name before she was scraped in Denmark
