Transformation of the Alps

Every winter the Swiss Alps is transformed when the temperatures plummet and the rain turns to snow. High up in the mountains, layer after layer of snow falls, balancing precariously on the wooden roofs of small huts like this one. This was taken at the top of the ski resort in Les Marécottes.
