a new friend

this sweet girl is destined to be the new friend of some lucky child.
she is part of a chain of love; from her maker, my crafty friend M, through me to the staff at Lynchburg Daily Bread, and then on to a special child.

today's extra photos are of a beautiful corn snake catching some rays.  corn snakes, elaphae guttata, are cousins to black rat snakes and primarily dine on mice and small rats.  corn snakes make great neighbors out here in the country
