Blue Cars

It's been pouring rain off and on all day, so after getting wet at Spring  Lake on our morning walk and getting wet at lunchtime closing the gate left open by the gardeners, we decided to give up and go to the movies.

The car in the top picture is a Mercury comet, not a Cadillac, but it still seemed just about right as an accompaniment to Green Book.  It belongs to one of the workers renovating the house across the street and is obviously his pride and joy. We really liked the movie.  Great performances by Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali. The movie made its point without beating us over the head with it.  It's not just another movie about the Jim Crow South and has some interesting role reversals and a touching story about the evolving relationship between the two main characters.

I featured the Deux Chevaux part of the collage in the thumbnail especially for Barrioboy and Digitaldaze...It was parked in the parking lot by our local art house movie theatre which also suits us perfectly. Nothing fancy, but the seats do rock...

They always remind us not to unwrap sweets in concert halls. Why must they sell popcorn in enormous buckets requiring people to scrabble noisily around in them throughout the movie? Just askin'
