Carskey Bay, after Storm Erik

6.5C with sunny spells and a few showers in the morning then more cloud with some smir in the afternoon. WSW/W wind to 23 mph with gusts to 31 mph.

Grocery shopping.

We drove the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Some seals on the rocks at Kiel today so I parked the car and got a few pictures but the sun was directly behind the seals and not favourable. The beach had a lot of kelp holdfasts on it at the car park end and there were other signs of storm Erik from Friday, when the road along by Kiel was closed due to the sea breaking over the road and into the fields behind.

We walked along to the far end of the beach and back.
Fergus was on his lead again.

Later there was 6 nations rugby on the telly. England 44 France 8.
Apothecary7 was printing from a lino cut, with BBC radio 2 as soundtrack.
