The White Lady

Officially its called the Heritage Windmill but is known locally as the White Lady. A windmill has stood here on North Common since at least 1590. The present smock mill was built in 1830 and is currently owned by the NHS but leased to the Parish Council. It is quite possibly the only windmill owned by the health service.
