Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Duty Shoes

 

My good friend showed me his 55 year old, Army issue, duty shoes which he received when training for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Honor Guard.
I've not seen shoes like this before with the special "clickers" on the bottom and inward side of the heels.  
He has the boots too.  
Libraries are filled with stuff that I don’t know!
