Heritage tour

When visiting London with two friends, we had the privilege to be taken on a historical tour by my blip friend Skeena.  We first visited the Biggin Hill Heritage Hanger where we, among other aircrafts, could see several Spitfires in good condition.  I’ve had a dream since boyhood to once in my life fly a Spitfire.  I have been informed that it’s a good idea to find a two-seater to be able to fulfil this dream.  I think they had two at Biggin Hill.  And age isn’t a problem.  To oldest “back seat pilot” so far was 97.   But there is another problem.  Check the website to find out.

Next stop was Chartwell – the family home and garden of Sir Winston Churchill.  Today’s extra shows a detail of a cane from the studio of the painter Sir Winston.  Before going back to London, we had a drive around Westerham, Otford with a quick stop at Lullingstone Castle.
