Folly at sunrise

Calton Hill, one of Edinburgh's prominent hills, has a number of fanciful follies, this plinth with columns (the unfinished Scottish National Monument) being the largest. Visible from miles away, it is lit dramatically at night. As this is my first photo I thought it apt to start at the base of the column, with simple light and shadow.
