Griffin Street Car Park. Workington.

I always thought this car park was called Cloffocks carpark, because it is in an area of Workington known for years as The Cloffocks. It is where the Uppies and Downies football match is held every Easter and Whitsuntide since I can remember. For those not in the 'Know', Uppies and Downies is a mass football game of as many players as can be mustered, split into two sides Uppies ( upper end of town) and Downies ( from the down side of town), It is a mixture of football, rugby, and brawling that carries on until the ball has been taken to the opponents goal area. Now I have quickly explained this game. I don't know why they changed the name of the road that the car park is on.
