Today's the day …………………………… to go back to school

Will has spent the day learning how to make bread at the Station House Cookery School in Kirkcudbright.

He has been making bread on and off for many years - but he has never had any formal tuition, apart from what his mother passed on.  With lots of different flours and other ingredients available nowadays, bread-making is a whole new kettle of fish and he was happy to receive a bit of instruction from Nick Morris, owner of the School and expert breadmaker.

The extras show some of the breads that the class made - and the student himself, keeping an eye on his oven ……………………..
