Half Term

Having the Flumlet for the whole day meant that we could spend longer doing what we usually do, or something different - however, we guessed that the great attractions ( Wee Hailes or Dalkeith Fort) would be particularly busy.

He asked to make gingerbreads, so in the morning we made the mixture and put it in the frig to cool while we went to Eden Rock climbing centre, where he had a great time with instructor Erin and one other boy.

When home we made up the gingerbreads, using his chosen cutters - they appear in the extra. Here's what we made:-
13 elephants
18 stars
5 ducks
6 bears
1 rabbit
2 moose
1 cow
1 Tyrannosaurus Rex

He and B stayed for tea so we all ate some with dessert, he snaffled one or two when he thought we wouldn't notice, sent some home with his Daddy and we have the rest in a tin for his (or anyone else's) next visit (though I fancy one or two might just end up being dunked in our coffee before then...).

Mr Flum and I are now exhausted
