Farewell Old Friend

I have had this bread maker for 10 years or more, and it has seen regular enough use for me to have had to replace the pan as the bearings in the bin where the blade is fitted had gone on the first one.

Last week, when it was doing the second kneading both I and my son noticed that the motor sounded like it was going at high speed, and it was. Something nasty had happened internally, and while you can get some spares, it doesn't appear that you can get spare motors or gears, so it would seem that this is bound for recycling.
