A moment to remember

The war memorial in my home town of Strathaven is located at the highest point and has a commanding view of the buildings and countryside below.
I was up there taking some photographs today and, as I was leaving, noticed this man making his way up to the monument to spend a few minutes there on this wonderful, wintry, frost covered day.
