On the 18th Green at Balnagask

Amazing sunset again tonight, real golden sky .
I chose to look into the setting sun,
as the colour was so intense.
I normally prefer to look east and photograph the subdued reflected light ,
hence the usually long exposures.
However, tonight the colour was so intense I had to look west.

No idea which hole this is on Balnagask golf course
that overlooks Greyhope Road and the mouth of the Dee.
The golfers silhouetted against the sky were rapidly fighting a losing battle as five minutes later it was dark.

Balnagask Golf Course is a challenging coastal course with many hills, situated within a nature conservation area on the small Balnagask headland, which is packed with at least 18 historical and archaeological sites including the 1833 lighthouse, designed by Robert Stevenson.
