Knock Knock

Couldn't waste such a glorious day so we dusted off our bus passes and went to Biggar. The bus route winds its way in an entertaining manner through Silverburn, Penicuik and West Linton before depositing us in the centre of town. We immediately made our way to the Gillespie centre for coffee and cake among the friendly locals.
We wandered through the cemetery and churchyard, with a few interesting and unusual grave slabs, and back down to the ford with its pretty little bridge before returning to await the bus home.
Along the way we noticed this individual door knocker - a gnome or perhaps Yoda (I'm not conversant with film characters), main photo - a genuine fingerpost with real fingers (but on one side of the arm only) in a back garden and an incorrect sundial (it should have read 13.11), extra photos.
Biggar is such an interesting wee town.
