Mr & Mrs Goosander or just good friends!

The weather took a turn for the better this afternoon after a rather gloomy start.

I had planned to do some sewing this afternoon but when the sun decided to put in an appearance I decided to go and have a bit of a walk ... the Heritage Park is one of my favourite places and it's only a couple of miles up the road.

Exciting to see the Goosanders ..... I have seen them at the loch before but not very often. I'm not very good at distinguishing between the male and female swans but there is no problem with the Goosanders. The male has very dramatic colouring but I prefer the female with her her lovely russet coloured head feathers.
