Winter Words

Our last event was listening to Denise Mina and Lin Anderson talk about their contributions to Bloody Scotland  book of short stories and crime writing more generally.  Good fun . 

Death has been a theme for the shows we'd bought tickets to from Sue Balack and Richard Shephard talking about forescenic anthroplogy and pathology, Richard Hollway on preparing for death and tales of murder and mayhem. We also heard from Rosemary Goring who read out a letter which Mary, Queen of Scots wrote hours before her death. However it was all very thought provoking and my list of books to buy & read has grown.

Light relief was found in the form of Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams talking about their cook book for which I'd win tickets for.
