The steps to nowhere!

A lovely day so this afternoon we went to the little Country Park nearby ..... walked through it & then along the river bank .... there is usually plenty of life to see there ...... today didn't disappoint!

We saw a Bullfinch, Buzzard, Kestrel, Great & Blue Tits, Robin, Thrush, & late afternoon a Barn Owl .... again :-)

We walked further along the river bank than we have previously & came across this strange structure! It looks rather like the beginnings of a bridge going nowhere!

Not often you see something like this ..... we assume it is meant to be a lookout ...... of course we had to climb up for a look .......you can certainly see a long distance in all directions from up there ..... but it still seemed odd to see it there!
