Cork

We were both off today. I had the dentist first thing. Then we had to decide what we'd do with ourselves and would it be East or West. We settled on East, a few things in Clon, then one more in Ballincollig, then Cork and a nice, belated Valentine's lunch in The Liberty. Some wandering and later coffee and cake, in Soma, but only after I'd stopped dithering about the venue. It was a good final decision, the carrot cake, tasted fab, though it looked like it had been through a tough time.
Much relief just now, as Thomas, my grand nephew in London, born just a week ago today, got out the other side of a 6 hour heart operation in Great Ormond Street hospital. A long road to go, but over the first hurdle.
