Civil War

Alexandria, Virginia was the longest occupied territory during the Civil War in the 4 years of that conflict. Given that it is right across from the Potomac from Washington, that reality is sobering. This cemetery with rows and rows of same sized markers are all lost soldiers to that war. I read many markers; they were all so young. Will we ever learn?
