Day 051/19. End of the Tornado, a final tour

The Tornado first flew on 14 August 1974 and was introduced into service in 1979–1980. Due to its multi-role design, it was able to replace several different fleets of aircraft in the adopting air forces.
Its role is now being replaced by the F-35 Lightning II.
After almost 40 years of RAF service all of the Tornados are being retired and withdrawn at the end of March.
Today saw a final flight by 3 of these aircraft around Southern UK as a goodbye.
I headed to Boscombe Down (where I used to work, years ago) and managed to get a shot as they overflew.
Bye bye, thanks for you long service.
