Lymington Saltmarshes

What a beautiful day! We walked into Lymington and then along the coast via the saltmarshes to Keyhaven. The marshes were full of birds; geese , swans , gulls and and ducks and a few ponies as well as some more unusual winter visitors as the twitchers were out! You could have reached out to touch The Needles, it felt, as it was so clear At Keyhaven we walked along the spit to Hurst castle then got the ferry back to Keyhaven for our picnic . A lovely inland stroll back to Lymington for afternoon coffee before heading back to the hotel for a swim before dinner. The weather was glorious, the company perfect as always. The hardest decision was where to have dinner!
