Another frosty day

Started foggy with forecast that it would clear so headed out to a forest where I was hoping to catch some interesting sunlight through the trees as the fog lifted.

Timing was fine and the fog lifted as expected but revealed a cloudy sky :-(

However cloudy skies are also good so took a picture of this log against the interesting sky on my way back. I am not very experienced with monochrome but thought it would work here with the contrast between the frosty grass and the log and also the dramatic sky.
