MV Coruisk

Approaching Gourock is the 2003 ferry built at Appledore for the Mallaig to Armadale (Skye) service thus named after Loch Coruisk the freshwater loch at the foot of the Black Cuillin on Skye.
In recent years she was transferred to the summer Oban Mull service because of undercapacity there and here to the Clyde October March to offer peak time passenger only commuter runs Gourock Dunoon.
Today there is a strong southerly sea running which makes the two small passenger Argyll ferries vulnerable to cancellation so Coruisk stepped in with extra runs
