Last full family day in the Dales so a climb up Higger Tor for wonderful views of Hope Valley. Mary says she’d like to live in Hope .......

We were aiming for Stanage Edge but I got lost ........ again. According to Wikipedia, Higger Tor is a dominant landmark of the Dark Peak. It is a gritstone tor overlooking the Burbage Valley and the iron age hill fort of Carl Wark to the southeast.

And then lunch in a great place in Castleton where we happened upon the gentleman in the extra. Second time we've met, second time we've chatted, very funny, rather risqué, what a character!
