There are no snowdrops in Queens Park but there are hundreds of crocuses fighting for space on the grassy slopes.

Dogs and children walk and run over them so many are flattened before they've had time to open their petals. I do my best to walk between the colourful clumps while in pursuit of a blip.

An afternoon of making soup, housework and gardening before sitting down to enjoy a well earned cuppa.
