The Bubbling Dog Bowl
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god.
Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods."
~ Christopher Hitchens
In 43 years of having 10 dogs, we certainly have done our share of filling up the dogs water bowls. On a daily average I would say two bowls, placed in different rooms, probably get filled 15 times a day.
At the least.
Now that I've thought about it, I'm curious so I'll have to keep a record one day and see how far off I am!
We are owned by 250 pounds of dogs...large dogs...a Newfoundland, German Shepherd and Standard Labradoodle, each with a voracious thirst and talent of drinking a full water bowl at one visit. It seems we are often at the kitchen sink, filling up that bowl.
I've not done a blip challenge before but when I saw the subject was 'Water' I knew I had to enter since water plays such a huge part of life.
Especially for three canines who will come and give you the stink eye if their bowl is empty.
I'm always amazed at the pattern of bubbles which form from the water filling the bowl and, as soon as the faucet is shut off, the bubbles are gone.
Funny how the little things in life can be creative.
And how excited the dogs are when they lap up the fresh water.
Thanks for visiting :)
