Emerged Monarch

I have wasted so much time today standing out by a bush in the garden watching this emerging butterfly. Sadly it was in the middle of a lilac bush and so was not easy. I have been watching it for ten hours and it still has not started flexing so couldn't get its wing  spread .Itwas cold here today and did have a bit of wind anda heavy shower of rain so none of that would have helped its drying process. Twill be interesting to see if it’s still there in the morning
