Looking for the beauty

Chris and I headed over to Worcester today for a proper day out and what a day we picked! For February the weather was stunning and the place was beautiful too. After taking a detour due to a closed road, we finally arrived just before midday. We had lunch in the former RAF canteen and then headed towards to the mansion and grounds for a walk. The river runs at the side of the house and has a picturesque bridge across it. We followed the river up to the top and had superb views across the lovely grounds. After a chat with some other visitors, we then walked through the woods, around the lake and into the house. The house was a bit quirky inside compared to many National Trust properties as there was a lot of modern displays inside. This is because they can't regulate the temperature correctly to store original furniture. One of the ceilings upstairs had collapsed recently so this was probably a wise choice! It was good to see the alternate modern styles that had been chosen though.
The journey home was much quicker as we decided to try the closed road which wasn't actually closed at all!
I'd definitely recommend this property if you're in the area.
