Jumping For Joy

Yeovil's no.2, Adel Gafaiti jumps to defend a Cambridge free kick in this afternoon's game at Huish Park. Not long after this, Courtney Duffus scored the only goal of the game for Yeovil to give us a much needed win and lift us three points clear of the relegation zone.

Ironically, injuries meant we had to make a number of changes in personnel and positions, forcing manager Darren Way to give some of the younger players a chance and they responded by playing with much more pace and much less fear, putting on a far more energetic and entertaining performance. After six successive defeats and disappointing performances we left the ground with a spring in our step, hoping this might be a turning point in the fight against relegation.

This morning, Tess & I decided we ought to make the effort to do the park run, despite feeling pretty tired after the week's exertions; we were glad we did as it was a lovely morning and we managed to knock another 50 seconds off our previous best time.
