In the Beginning

Was a plot which had been given up by another allotment holder. 

They had gotten sick the year before, and three or four other Allotmenteers had "managed it" for a year, before they decided to give up. 

We already had a plot - but it was in the shade and although it was very beautiful and we had lots of green and flowers; our harvest wasn't brilliant. 

You learn as you go with gardening.  What we needed was Sun.   And we were offered Plot 12B after our first year. 

It was perfect.  In the centre of the field - full sunshine all day.  No shade, close to the water hole and surrounded by like minded gardeners. 

This is it, as it was.
