Daily Tales

Through the archway

We had a lovely walk today in glorious sunshine. It could have been a summer's day. In fact it was warmer than some of our British summer days.

We walked from home to Eynsford and returned via Lullingstone Park. We bought ice creams at Lullingstone Roman Villa and sat on a bench basking in the afternoon sun.

In all we walked for about four hours and covered  about 8 miles.  Yesterday I read in a country walking magazine about the 1000 miles challenge. That is less than 3 miles a day over the course of one year. It's a great idea to keep fit and I've only got 992 miles to go.

My extra is the footpath leading to the rail crossing and the other is a train going over the viaduct.
