Is this the future for the High Street?


Visited an innovative project this afternoon in the heart of old Stirling where Wilkies, the former family run store, has been converted into artist studios, gallery and a shop.
 
Several friends had mentioned to me that the new space for the re-located Made in Stirling shop selling all locally made arts and crafts was big but the sheer size took me by surprise.
 
It exhibits the work of over a hundred local artists.
 
This artist led venture now has the space to expand into regular workshops and exhibitions and there is even a Men’s Shed in the basement.
