Reaching out!

A misty morn optimistically hoping sun would break through & burn off the mist! Parked the car at Birnam station, small car had only one space vacant!! Started our walk up & over Birnam Hill it’s one of my favourite walks in Perthshire....not sure why as it’s steep in parts!! (Most of uphill & downhill too! :) )
Stopped for a hot drink at the old stone bridge after an hour .....the view usually is good from here .... not today!
Continued upwards to the top still misty! Had our picnic & started our descent, met quite a few bikers & a few other optimistic walkers! Knees suffering a bit on descent ! Ouch! Hot chocolaté drink helped from the flask !
The hill is only 1230 feet ! Not so high in the grand scheme of things!
It’s still a favourite despite ouchy knees
