Chystostomos - day 1

The name Chrysostomos or Chrysostom comes from the patron saint of preachers. Traditionally, the last year of secondary education was called rhetoric because special attention was paid to the art of the oratories in the subjects of Latin and Greek, and these students regarded Johannes Chrysostom as their patron saint.

Originally, Hundred Days - especially in the ancient Greek-Latin humanities - was celebrated on John Chrysostom's feast day, but for practical reasons it is now usually held on a Friday (in January, February or in some cases in March).
