Tiny Snake

I walked down the lane looking for a macro when I noticed this little creature at my feet. I was quite close but it didn't take much notice of me.
I wasn't certain it was a snake and not a lizard so I tossed a twig down near it and it turned around and disappeared into the bushes. No legs!!

It looks to me like a baby brown snake. They are responsible for 60% of snake bite deaths in Australia but this was only 30-40cm long so not too scary.
