Performance Art

We had a rowdy evening in the Copper Coil in Squamish, celebrating Olivia Coleman’s Oscar win. Our loud whooping on her name being called certainly drew attention and we were soon making friends.
The evening of course ended with us all in one bed laughing until we cried. Surprisingly there were no sore heads and we set off for Whistler. This is somewhere I’ve always wanted to see and it didn’t disappoint.
We started by visiting the Audin Art Gallery and found it needed some performance art to liven it up.
Whistler was -7C with beautiful blue skies but a bitter wind, and the skiers were out on the slopes looking great. I loved that you can walk out of your hotel directly to a chair lift and ski back down to the same spot. Or you can sit at an outside cafe/bar with a fire pit and just watch everyone. This is not a cheap sport though, the ski passes were extortionate. Lottery win required to stay and ski here. I’ll add it to my winning list.
