Sunstar on Sheet Ice

A very warm (for this time of year) 40F today produced glorious light at the day's end. Each footstep gave way through the weakened crusty surface of the ice as I walked out towards the lake shore. There hardly seemed to be a shore line, the surfaces of land and water merging together.

I've always struggled to make a successful sunstar, so I was pleased to get this one right. Not maybe the most interesting shot, but it captured the mood of the day.

Prior to this shot I played around for a while in the reeds and it was quite comfortable for a change.
